Currently in the United States, it is estimated that there are almost 50 million people who either speak Spanish as their primary or secondary language. You probably have seen it in your own town, more business owners are looking for ways to offer products and services to Spanish speaking customers.
With so many Spanish speakers here in America, it also means that individuals and families are looking for quality entertainment in their native tongue. Direct TV Mas bundles start as low as .99 per month for the first year of programming with the Basico package. Of course, DIRECTV Mas offers packages that have premium movie channels like HBO as well, such as Lo Maximo. This bundle is similar to the Direct TV Premier package, an all inclusive deal with almost 300 channels.

Comparing Time Warner vs Direct TV
One of the great things about modern cable and satellite TV is the explosion of sports programming now available to customers across the country. While 25 years ago you would see a couple of college football games on Saturday and a few on Sunday, today you can literally pick from two dozen or more games every weekend. Even the NCAA tournament has additional coverage with the Mega March Madness on Direct TV.
The motto today is “Content is King” and as the saying goes the sports networks want to deliver as much sports content as possible to the customer so they can sell more advertising. Quite a few brand new all-sports networks have sprung up over the past couple of years. Included among these are Altitude Sports, which carries Nuggets from Denver and Colorado Avalanche matches, and also the Big 10 network and the mtn, the network of the Mountain West conference.
While these new channels are great for fans in lots of areas, disputes between the providers of content and cable networks that deliver the content have resulted in trouble at times to the customer. For example, the Big Ten Network began broadcasting in 2007, but they were unable to strike a deal with cable TV provider Time Warner. Subscribers of Time Warner in Wisconsin were not able to watch some of the local teams play because of the carraige dispute. Fortunately, the parties came to an agreement before the fall football season, so subscribers could stay with Time Warner instead of having to switch over to one of the satellite television companies such as DISH Network or DirecTV. Out of market sports packages are another consideration for the customer. Many Comcast customers have switched to DirecTV because the NFL Sunday ticket is exlusively on satellite. Other sports packages though are more friendly to subscribers, like the National Hockey League Center Ice and the NBA League Pass, which are available on almost every cable TV and satellite company. Turbo HD By DISH Network Now Available
Satellite TV provider DISH Network just released new programming packages called Turbo HD. These packages are all hi definition, removing of the standard definition channels. Is this new satellite television the best choice for you?
It all depends on what your looking for from your cable or satellite TV company. Some folks want every single channel that is available. They don’t care if 15 of them are 24 hour shopping channels, or that five of the channels are public access. They just want all of the channels.
On the other hand, many have become weary of trying to wade through all of the junk on the television dial, trying to find something worthwhile to watch. For consumers who have recently bought a new flat-screen TV, TurboHD from DISH Network may be the perfect solution.
There are three different choices with Turbo HD from DISH Network, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. All of these packages are made up of hi definition channels only. Packages start at about $24.99 per month for the Bronze package. That package, however, does not include your local channels like ABC and Fox, which cost $5 more per month.
DISH Network also has the Platinum level, which is an add-on service to any of the other TurboHD levels. The Platinum level is $10 per month, and adds on seven more hi def channels such as NBA TV and Universal HD.
One sticking point with some current DISH Network customers is they have not been allowed to switch over to the TurboHD packages, even though they are cheaper. Currently only new subscribers to DISH Network have been allowed to get the TurboHD only bundles. Current customers can get DISH TurboHD, but only as an add-on to the SD package.
A final consideration you should know about is how DISH Network is numbering the networks included in the packages. Take for example the Turbo HD Bronze setup which includes 44 channels, of which 24 are network channels, six are pay-per-view, and 14 are VOD, (video on demand) channels. For some, that number would be adequate many are accustomed to having quite a bit more content to choose from. A final consideration, the Turbo HD packages do not include premium movie channels like HBO or Cinemax, so expect to pay an additional fee monthly for commercial free channels like that. DIRECTV vs Dish Network
In the early 1990s, satellite television was first introduced to the market. It was understandable that only a few people actually went out of their way to get their hands on a satellite dish. After all, the dish was a lot more expensive just as its size was considered large and intrusive.

More HD With Direct TV
We have been itching to get away from Comcast digital cable for a long time. The problem is they give you a great combo with their bundles that include voice, high speed internet, and TV service. When customers want to remove one, you miss out on the savings of the bundle.
But the cable television setup just has to go, as the service and quality is well below par. There is so much discussion today about high definition, there just wasn’t much of that with Charter cable TV. So I began doing a little research on who else was providing service in my neck of the woods.
I happen to be one of the individuals who have a couple of choices. Unlike some folks who can only choose from either the cable company or Direct TV satellite service, I have a third option in this region. The phone company in my neighborhood has been upgrading the telephone network. So now I have an additional player with AT&T and their U-Verse service.
That doesn’t mean of course I won’t have similar issues. It would put me in the same boat as with the cable television company, because telephone company want customers to package their TV setup with high speed and voice service. If the deal works out well, customers will be happy. Then again if the service is poor you are in the same situation that I’m in now with the cable operator.
The evaluations I found are fairly good on telecom TV service. Of course it is new, there is sometimes a learning curve with a new technology like this, and some clients write poor reviews. Some of those reviews are the quite amusing, simply for the reason people make the decision to write a dissertation on their bad experience and share it on the internet. Unhappy customers badmouth the company like it is some giant conspiracy to make the customer unhappy, as if the corporation doesn’t want our money!
Another way to go that I am looking into is of course satellite TV. Since we have seven television watchers in the home, we have subscribed in the past to a premium TV package. The satellite companies seem to be fairly comparable, as the Premier package by DirecTV and the DISH Network America’s everything package are both right around $105 per month. Sure that’s pretty pricey for pay TV, but if you compare that to taking your family to supper and a show, the entertainment value is comparable. Some of my family speak Spanish, so the Direct TV Mas programming package looks like a winner. The great thing is that there are plenty of DirecTV pros and cons to help me decide which direction to take.
